Pinon Hills Community Church has a vision for the community of Farmington, the Four Corners and the surrounding region.  That vision is to change the lives of thousands in our community by inviting people into community with Christ and with others, growing people’s faith and ability to trust in the Lord and helping individuals understand the purpose that God has uniquely given each person.

The Uprising Student Ministry as an arm of Pinon Hills Community Church desires to play an integral part in achieving this vision and changing the lives of thousands in the surrounding area.

The Uprising seeks to accomplish the vision of Pinon Hills Community Church by ministering to students through four focus areas.  These ministry focus areas are outreach, discipleship, service and adventure.

• Outreach: is central to the mission of The Uprising because Christ commanded his disciples to “go and make disciples” in Matthew 28; he commands us to share his good news with others. 
• Discipleship: In Matthew 28, Jesus also told his disciples to go and make disciples, who are mature believers, and to “teach them to obey everything that I commanded”.  To do this discipleship on many levels is a key component to growing mature followers of Christ. 
• Service is also critical because students are growing up in a culture that tells them it is all about them.  Mature followers understand that when following Christ it is all about him and others and service is a natural outpouring of that understanding.
• Adventure: Students have a unique opportunity to experience the grandeur, power and love of God through his creation.  The Four Corners offers unparalleled opportunities to experience God through his creation.
