Our church began in 1957 as the Tabernacle Baptist Church. It was founded by Pastor Richard Cunningham. Pastor Cunningham led the church until 1964. Under his leadership the church purchased our current property on Butler Avenue.
In 1995 the church called John Morgan to become the pastor. The church purchased the first part of the future property on Piñon Hills Boulevard and in 1997 the church reorganized as Piñon Hills Community Church, a non-denominational church. In 2004 Piñon Hills Church purchased the second part of the future
property on Piñon Hills Boulevard.
Piñon Hills Church has been growing steadily and our plan is to continue growing at our Butler Avenue Campus by adding services as needed and to develop ministry facilities on our Piñon Hills Mission Campus when the timing for each one is right and when the strategy for each advances our mission.
